“Who sent you?” I asked circling the scared little human.

She was about to hyperventilate.

“They tell you only to ask questions?” I asked sitting on the table my leather pants sliding back as I swung my legs.

Using my feet to pull her chair between my legs I savored the yelp that left her lips as she still refused to look at me. Bending at the waist I put my lips next to her ear, “Did they have a plan for you, if I arrived?”

She swallowed, terrified, and I smiled pulling back watching her smudged lipstick.

“This puts me in a very bad place.” I told her shaking form with a sigh.

The door opened as Grams stood arms crossed disapprovingly over her chest. “Are you finished terrifying her?”

I smiled, “You ruin all my fun.” I answered sliding off the table, pushing her back with my feet.

Rolling her eyes she walked away calling over her shoulder, “We have work to do.”

Turning back to the interviewer I smiled showing all my pretty white teeth, “Welcome to employment in the Council.”

Her bottom lip quivered.
